Omega-Speedmaster-3594.50.003.jpg
In the last year, I received such a large number of requests about the long-discontinued Omega Speedmaster ’57 Broad Arrow Replica, Reissue, or Relaunch that I felt it was about time to write a (mini) buyer’s guide on this Speedmaster variant. Omega used a very unfortunate name for this Speedmaster 3594.50 but did so with […]

Interesting to see the "Omega Missions Cases" being mentioned.
These 1997 missions cases remind us of the actual spaceflown cases with Omega Speedmaster chronographs in the 1990s onboard the Russian "Mir" space station:
December 1990: 10 set Speedmaster case space-flown for 90 days:
In fact this set stayed 172 days onboard the "Mir" space station = 2752 orbits
July 1993: 35 set Speedmaster case space-flown for 365 days:
In fact this set stayed 373 days onboard the "Mir" space station = 5966 orbits

This is a wonderful watch. It dressed-up and down really well.
Owned one for a while but ultimately decided to sell it and gift my father a Speedmaster 57.

Exactly what i needed to see RJ. I'm enamored with the white dial/blue hands Broad Arrow and have been in the market for some time. This should be a beneficial read! Thanks for another well time article.

I'm a fan of this reference. Was a really good value when I picked it up, but I guess that will change with more articles like this pushing up the price 😁.

Hi,

agreed, what kind of flat link bracelet have you attached? Showing some really nice wear 👍

It's the forstner. I've been very happy with it, but the stretch links have failed. If you grab one, maybe get the version without the stretch links. I think lots of people have also said good things about the uncle Seiko flatlink.

Thanks,

I own some Uncle Seiko flatlinks, but didn't try them on this model.

I should do it... 😉

Do it! It's a really good look, and feels sort of light and old-school as opposed to the bracelet it originally came with.
