Up for sale is my Ming 17.01 with the anthracite dial. Jack Forster’s write-up does much better justice to the timepiece than I ever could: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...d-ming-watches The watch is in very good worn condition. The titanium case has the usual micro-swirls from light use and the sapphire crystal is flawless. The only condition notes I have are two light scuffs - one on the bottom left lug and one on the bezel... likely from the same incident given the way they line up. Difficult to see... you have to tilt the watch at just the right angle, I do not notice them when the watch is on-wrist... I’ve included a photo that attempts to show them as best as I could. The manual movement winds smoothly and, from what I've been able to observe, keeps good time, although having no seconds hand, I'm unable to provide specific timing history. The sale is for the full set, which originally included three custom quick-change straps. I subsequently purchased an additional three straps from Ming’s website, which will be included in the sale. In typical fashion for me, I ended up gravitating towards wearing the watch on a non-Ming suede strap (not included in the sale as it's been worn), so all six straps have been tried on but not worn. I purchased the watch from another collector who owned both 17.01 variants but only used the straps from his other set, so when I received the watch the straps were in unworn condition. Asking $1350 USD OBRO net to me. I acknowledge my asking is well above the original MSRP of the watch, however due to the limited supply (150 made of each dial variant) and strong demand, these watches command higher prices on the resale market, which I experienced when acquiring it from its original owner. That's pretty nice in it's simplicity. Will you also be offering an accompanying Flash Gordon watch too?
Great price for a Ming. I paid more than this for mine and it didn't have the extra straps. The dial is just amazing in person with glancing light.
