I didn't realise just how massive this beast was 'till I handled one in the flesh.
Omega Seamaster Chrono-Quartz, case ref: ST 396.0839. Cal 1250.
Manufactured in limited numbers to commemorate the Montreal Olympics in 1976. Also known as 'The Albatross.'
Measures a whopping 50mm across.
Not everyones cup of tea but a wonderful design object. Infact it occurs to me that Omega where particularly good at innovative design and were not scared of bringing out totally new concepts. As far as I can tell Rolex only have about 3 case designs in total!

Holy crap, is that the limited Grasshopper addition? Only 3 were produced, one went to David Carradine, one to Bienne and I heard the 3rd was lost somewhere in NY while on its way to an AD.

I think that infamous 3rd watch was destined for Ralph Macchio but went missing.

I wouldn't mind having one of these if the price was right!
