Just wanted to share my latest acquisition, a piece I have been hunting for a while. Minerva VD 712 issued to the Swedish navy, "Tre Kronor" marked (the three crowns). Well built 36.5mm waterproof case and valjoux 72 movement = a lot to like!
Where has this been? It’s perfect! Congrats. Minerva is a legendary house. Montblanc is leveraging the heck out of their capabilities.
Unfortunately I don't know where it have been and to which navy it originally belonged to, I wish I had bought this from the first owner. Yea you rarely find them in this condition
Catching some sun, but still can’t share any wristshots though since I’m bound to another watch I participate with in a OWG-March challenge..
Amazing! Technically, you could put the watch on the someone else's wrist to photograph it. We're dying to see wrist shots!
Unbranded steel bracelet, newer than the watch but fits the watch pretty good IMO. Not really suitable for a navy issued watch but I like the contrast of a more dressed up bracelet. I would like to know what strap these came with originally when given to the army, my guess is some kind of burdock(?) nato like this one that was found on another issued Minerva.
