Hi guys I will travel next week to Italy and was wondering if you had any recommendations in Milan for vintage watch shops! Thanks
Do you have shop suggestions in Milan, or are you just stopping by to comment on someone’s use of tense? English is not everyone’s first language, and that’s not a bad thing. And certainly doesn’t make them any less of a watch lover.
Do you or are you just stopping by to comment on someone's comment? I am quite sure Delbok got me, not only languagewise
I actually stopped by to see what shops people were recommending in Milan. And then came across your very helpful response.
Thanks rkman11 for your help, I need indeed to improve my english but coming from my fellah friend mr_yossarian it can only come from the heart
Indeed. Do hope some good suggestions come out of this thread, was in Milan last year and ended up in some shops by the Duomo. Great window shopping, but overpriced tourist traps! Good luck.
Hey guys, any suggestions for some vintage watch shopping in Milan or around? If any OF members are open for a drink this week I am your man ! Thanks
You can go on Chrono24 and search by location. You may find some interesting dealers located in Milano. Just a tip, and the offers are usually better in person Enjoy your trip!
I'll agree with that. I didn't try negotiating, but I would concur that tag prices were a bit high in the shops I visited.
I've not been, can't wait to go, I've had two business trips there aborted. What I've heard from first hand accounts is that caveat emptor is the operative advice. Watch for prices, redials and franken. If you hunt UG, be especially cautious. That said there are good shops there because this is Italy, where collecting has been going on longest. So danger and opportunity!
