I'd say that dial lost whatever fight it was in.

 

The fight was with a lion probably.
I cannot tell from the pictures if it has gold batons or not but I see this type of damage when a jeweller is using pliers to get a movement out of a gold case.

I think the damage came after the armored Hesalite crystal broke when it was run over by that Peugeot...
