Greetings all, time to start pruning down as my watch drawers are over flowing. I went a little crazy on a Mido kick a few years ago and need to let these two go as I don’t wear them very much. Both are stainless cushion cased Mido Futura’s on factory stainless BOR bracelets, dating to the mid 70’s- the last gasp of a sensational company in the throws of the quartz crisis. The watches are similar but not identical- I always thought of them as a pair so am listing them as such. The black one measures 35.87x37.12x 11.6. Factory finishes are intact with course linear brushed top, polished bevel and fine linear brushed sides all showing well with standard micro scratching and wear from use- a few tiny nicks here and there but nothing obscene. Factory signed crown and crystal- crystal has been reseated and pips don’t perfectly align with the indices which can be easily resolved with a crystal lift. All lume pips are there and like the hands are bright yellow. The silver one measures 35.27x38.5x11.67. Factory finishes are excellent with radial brushed top, polished chamfers and fine linear brushed sides. Standard micro scratching and tiny nicks from use but in very good shape. Factory signed crown and crystal- all pips line up with indices. Lume is bright yellow on pips and hands. Both watches have ETA 2879’s which feature quick day & date at first crown position- not slow date! Both are also bi-lingual for English and Spanish- Muy Bueno! They are both keeping time well but neither have been serviced during my time with them, so a service is advised for long term health and well-being. I don’t have a case back tool for these but if needed can get them opened for movement pics within a few days. The bracelets both fit my 7.25” wrist perfectly with 2 more holes to spare in the micro-adjustment, assume it will fit a 7.5” wrist comfortably or a little larger. Lug width is 18mm so can be worn on straps as well. Price for the pair is $475 shipped within conus- out of the US we can discuss options.
