What a collection! The first watch, the red Speedmaster, is it too loud? I love the way it looks but kind of feel like it's a bit too much for everyday wear. I'd love to have one though.

No it's not. it's quite different actually and looks great!

Wow! What an incredible and fun collection. That gold Speedy Shumacher is amazing. Enjoy them.
@DLT222 are these all your own to keep, or are they ones you have had to sell/have sold, or a bit of a mix? Just out of curiosity. Only recently found out your true identity - we've spoken before via email and Instagram DMs! 😅

These are in 'long term storage' shall we say.

My true identity... makes me sound like a secret agent.

I can normally be found on IG. I wish I had more time to hang here. I do miss the banter.

Inspired me to put my red one back in the rotation!

Acquired mine on impulse (40% discount - no brainer) somewhere in the Caribbean back in the day.

Lovely watch.

I thought I read that these Speedmasters were more prone to issues and that the service costs can get very expensive. Or am I mistaken?
I googled searched and got this answer: Omega Speedmaster Reduced (and Triple Date models like the MK40) use modular movements (like the ETA 2892 base with a DD 2000 or Valjoux 7750-derived module), which are indeed harder and more costly to service than the integrated movements of the Speedmaster Professional
, often requiring specialized watchmakers or sending it back to Omega due to the complexity of servicing the stacked chrono module, leading to higher repair bills.

Well you got an answer but it was a bit bollocks. The Reduced uses a module certainly but the 7750 and 3303 derived stuff which is basically everything mentioned here else does not. They use fully integrated one piece movements.

AI is best avoided if you want factual answers.

It didn’t say anything about 3303. I don’t think the mark40 and triple dates didn’t use Caliber 3303. Or did u mean caliber 3220 in the reduced?

I may have misread your post. My point was that while the movement used in the Reduced (and only the Reduced) uses a module, the others don’t and are fully integrated chronographs. I included the 3303 since it was also used in some Schumacher models shown earlier. The Reduced does indeed have servicing complications but the Triple Date despite its apparent complexity does not.

I honestly think these are very underrated.
I love mine:

As with all Omegas I have a love-hate relationship with the OEM bracelets: love the feel, don't care for the rounded look the give the watch.
Thank god there are great aftermarket options out there.
