That time has come around again where the Basel World pieces are on show at each boutique, this time its Miami's turn. Info below.

Last years event was great and I'm sure this year will be no exception.

So...even riff-raff like myself can get in the door?

I guess they don't realize that I wear my old college fraternity letters (from 30 years ago) and flannel AC/DC pants...BUT I own a Moonwatch (pictured below in my right hand)...so maybe I'm cool.

Or maybe if I bring Hooters Girls that'll play smack-bottom with anybody/everybody...they'll let me in.

Miami, Ft Lauderdale, it matters not.

The Boutique is equidistant from both airports.

BTW, there are at least a half-dozen other boutiques in that mall along with with Cartier and Mayors/Birks.

@gatorcpa...our AUG sched came out and it looks like I'll most likely be flying on the 15th. If I had the 15th off, I could possibly attempt a 2 leg jumpseat from CVG-ATL-MIA (or FLL).

Yes, it would be a fairly long haul in my '07 Ford Police Interceptor...but that's why the good Lord invented Dunkin' Donuts coffee...👍

Just got home from the Omega Event. Wore the Globemaster in honor of the new Globemaster.

It was a hit. It was good to meet the new watchmaker hired by the Aventura Boutique. He performed a quick check and regulation on customers watches while you wait. A taste of the way it used to be. Told me that the amplitude was slightly low, but the watch is running within specifications. Failed the water resistance test. It probably would never have passed a modern test, even when new.

Tried on both the new Globemaster and the 2015 Museum Chronograph with a fired enamel dial. I'm in love, but not with the Globemaster.

The Museum Chrono is the one for me!

Leslie is the bomb and a very good friend of mine. The rest of the crew there are also great! Glad you had a great time! I would have been there but I'm in the UK!
