I'm looking for someone in Detroit Mi area that can do routine mice on my late 1950s Seamaster. Is there a list here on recommended places or can someone point me in the right direction?

Tanner (@Tmorehouse51) great. He refinished my Mark II case but quickly won more of my business. Hey, one box (4 watches) will reach him today . He is very fast.

 

I would speak with Armen at Darakjian in Birmingham Michigan. Armen will point you in the right direction. Plus, he owns a hell of a watch boutique with some incredible stock on hand to fondle.

 

I'm in my old hood often. Will look Armen up.

 

I did contact a reputable shop the next town over. He is a certified Swatch/omega and Rolex technician. Teaches for Rolex. A clean and lube is $400. Does that seem right? I specifically told them not to polish the case, face or hands and no band to clean as I am replacing with leather. Still $400.

 

I'll do it for 200.

 

For $410 my local guy just overhauled a 1940 Tri Compax and is doing another Tri for the same price, so it should be half that. $2-250.

 

Ok well I'm back to looking. Armen at Darajkian didn't return my call and I read really bad reviews on Universay Jewelry and Watch.

J&R in Roseville said about $150 so may go see them.
