Just purchased this Omega Megaquartz 3.2hz Gold Plated with what LOOKS to be the original box and papers. At the expense of ridicule I was hoping that you guys could share some light as to this watch. There is limited information on it. Torn between selling it or keeping it in respects to if it is “rare” or not. I haven’t found a “Geneve” without any collection under the “Omega” on the dial. Also does the box and papers look correct? Sorry for the inquiries. Just trying to navigate these legendary Omega waters

Sorry, dont understand your comment on Geneve?

regardless, watch looks OK - if it runs, i would remove the worn bracelet, put on a nice leather strap and away you go

All the key information is inside the watch ( on the underside of the stainless steel case back - so you or a watchmaker need to open her up to glean the watch reference number, and the serial number on the movement - from the later, you can obtain the year

I think the box is fine for the period, although I would have thought it should say Megaquartz on the box, and not just quartz ( however, dealers were somewhat careless back then apparently)

however, there are a few megaquartz collectors who know far more than I on these

I think there was a very similar watch sold on watchcharts.com that came with this megaquartz box below

Take a look there
