I wonder how many people drive around with license plate frames from their vehicle's dealer giving them free advertising, much less the billions of t-shirts people wear with corporate logos of all kinds. I have a 'Yoo-Hoo' chocolate drink t-shirt on right now. So the advertising dislike for these straps is a bit contrived, imo. Don't people often swap out the generic Uncle Seiko clasp for an Omega branded one? Same thing in my eyes.

I bought their first edition one-piece 'Speedmaster Moonwatch' strap a few years ago for $160 which included the full kit with screwdriver and extra springbars. Looks better than most fabric NATO-style straps, imo. We spend a LOT of money on gimmicks in our lives, $200+ for a strap these days isn't over the top. I've got a Genteel strap being made now for my Ultraman, $300, it's just the cost of this hobby. Buy the new strap if you like it, don't buy it if you don't. Omega will sell a bunch though.

These new straps are two piece jobs now so if you have a sapphire back Speedmaster you won't block the view. I was over on the Omega site playing with their strap tool, the grey version looks pretty good on the Snoopy, great NASA tie in there. I imagine more than a few Snoopy's will end up with this new strap.

I bought this strap and loved it until the white writing started to pick off and fall apart. For that reason, I won’t be buying any of the new three and will stick to NATOs.

You know, the 13-yo me loves this, but that same 13-yo also knows he'd get his ass beat for wearing it, since it signals "space camp graduate".

Only last weekend I bought the current edition moonwatch type strap, haven’t tried it yet I thought it was decent value @ $AUD250, gives the speedmasters a cool look.
I like these new ones a lot, I don’t mind loud branding in this context, I like Omega and NASA so no complaints....all looks like a bit of fun!
Only wish these types where also in 19mm for my FOIS I did get some bent spring bars to give the 20mm I bought a go on the FOIS.

Expensive? I don’t see the point in my case of trying $10 etc straps on my 10s of thousands of $$$ speedmaster collection!
Each to their own though.

I already had the idea for a 2-piece velcro albeit in blue😁

I thought I’d be all into these new straps...but nope. I see enough of the NASA “meatball” on other stuff...like on t-shirts from Walmart and Target...as well as on vehicles. The white strap reminds me of the original “Miami Vice”...and the silver strap reminds me of the original “Lost In Space”.

got my new 'allwhite' NASA NATO from Omega yestarday ... great strap and a very nice experience of unboxing 👍 I want to share with you:

One strap from OMEGA is boxed like complete new watchsets from other brands 😗

Really cool 3D printed NASA Logo ... I like! 🍿 .. now fitted onto my Snoop2:

Looks a bit like the Alaska Edition with that strap 🙄 ... sadly missed that LE .. now I am very close 😝!

I have to say: It is a bit stiff right now and I think it needs a bit of wrist time to get as comfortable as other Natos from the beginning,
but I really like the look, the overall quality, and the way omega makes me happy while unboxing this 'intermediate buy' ... waiting for
my Snoopy3 😉

^^^ There should be a little black tube with the extra springbars tucked under the webbing. If missing I would request them, there were four springbars in my tube. With the outrageous price Omega charges some people for these I'd request Omega supply them if they are listed in the description.

That looks amazing! I think all the white dialed speedies are way out of my price range. Maybe if I wait for 20-30 years, watches will become uncool again and I can pick one up. 😜

On the UK website it specifies that spring bars are included but the spring bar tool is NOT included. Seeing your spring bar tool in your photos I assume that was included!?!

FYI, update on this newer "two-piece" NASA Speedmaster Moonwatch strap compared to the first gen "one-piece" Omega Moonwatch strap. I have both and compared them. The lettering of the "Speedmaster Moonwatch" of the first gen is raised and easily peeled off like rubber ink. While, the "two-piece" one seems to be a more durable "printed" white lettering that is directly onto the strap. You can even see the imprint of the material behind the lettering. I think Omega learned from the QC of the previous strap. FYI, if anyone had second thoughts on ordering this new NASA strap. I really like it a lot, though I live in the home of JPL, so NASA is everywhere here.
