That would be awesome indeed! Should be easy to make, by changing the case looks of the Photoshop to the FOIS. Will make one if there's more interest. Just like this message or reply.

Smaller than the FOIS, which I think is big and bulky. More like the 60th, real vintage size!

I highly doubt the classic 861 Professional will get any changes at all outside of minor font changes until the day it dies. At best a return to the Don and an AML. Even then I highly doubt the regular production will get those. Let’s be honest it hasn’t changed at all since 69 or if your anal zero real change since 74 and the domed dial.

They have already made many modern updates to the Speedmaster as can be seen in the expansive range of Speedmaster models.

Something like this, applied the vintage script and logo as well. Aren't the FOIS and 1957 trilogy both around 39.7 mm?

You will never have a watch with a symmetrical case with non guarded pushers and "Professional" on the dial.

side note the thinner case on those is from lack of crownguards, same dial and bezel on them.

Haha yes ofcourse, but it was a request. And every sketch is just hypothetical / fictional

The 60th Trilogy is 38.6mm and thinner; they scanned the original watches for it. Ed Whites are also about that size. I have a CK2998 (FOIS case, 39.7mm) as well and it’s much bulkier, basically a 42mm without crown guards but thicker

Some great ideas and concepts so far, but we all know they're going to etch a picture of Buzz Aldrin's face onto the case-back, stick an eagle on the 9 o'clock subdial, write "The Eagle Has Landed" somewhere on it and make it a 2019 piece limited edition.

I feel sorry for Omega, the burden on their shoulders is massive. They have to produce something amazing to please everyone. I suppose the options are to.produce something faithful to the original 69 watch or some kind of homage watch like the speedytuesdays. It's going to be a tough ask and if they make it a limited edition internet edition they will pee off a huge amount of people. How about special editions given to 50 random OF members all of whom have to have atleast 1969 posts?😗

This, really. The coaxial 9300 Speedmaster is the "modern" one and aside from the LE Professionals, is the one that Omega is using as its jumping-off point for innovation. See: DSOTM, GSOTM, the new Moonphases, Apollo XIII LE, etc.

I’m calling it right now, mark my words (bla bla):
Yellow gold Speedmaster and the dial design same as the first image I posted, albeit with the correct vintage logo and script of the original ‘69 watch. 69 pieces, which later on will be 269 due to demand. Hopefully 1969 in steel.

I wish they made the 9300 "Moonwatch" in 42mm and thinner. It's like a hockey puck.

The Dark Side line hides its size well with the black ceramic, plus it's actually pretty light due to same. Worth trying on if you're open to the Big Black Watch thing

As I was thinking of creating a new thread to document my wish list for “my perfect” speedy pro, I stumbled upon this older one.
Given the effort (and photoshop talent) of the OP (congrats man!! 👍), I figured I would rather revive this one instead.

Give me the current Speedy pro, with increased power reserve to 72+ hours and especially, a high quality bracelet, with fine adjustment options AND some heft!!

I think that would make me VERRY happy…

I am not sure this is correct, but it’s interesting if it is. The stated diameter difference is due to the bezel only AFAIK, the earlier style bezel is narrower, the FOIS mid case is pretty much the same as the EW and LE. Maybe you should define thinner. The FOIS is certainly a little deeper due to the heavy relief pattern on the caseback and sapphire crystal.
