I posted my Rolex Prince Observatory duo-dial "doctor's watch", earlier in this thread. It is the only one I have ever seen that is adjusted to six-positions, and having 18-jewels. It has the Rolex Super-Balance, and micrometer regulator. My father was a Depression-era watchmaker. He bought this one in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan circa 1933. It is remarkable to me that it has survived. After decades of wearing it as his main watch, he used it as a "loaner" when he was fixing a customer's own watch.

They have been built with 15, 17 and 18 jewels

Here is mine with 17 jewels:

It is cased in a SS /PG combo case which I like very much... it is a striking contrast

Nice watch! I have owned three Princes over the years, but now I have only the one. Unfortunately, all mine were in gold filled cases. I have read that Rolex gave their Canadian agency many liberties as to the cases they used. I recently checked into the new, karat gold cases for Princes as being produced in Hong Kong (IIRC). But at about $8,000.00 US, mine will have to live in its gold filled case.

I had a strong feeling that Rolex gave your model of Prince, a model name. I found what I believe to be your watch in Roy Ehrhardt's vintage Rolex catalog. Your model came in a wide variety of case material, steel and pink (rose) gold being one of them. The model name is Brancard. The Ehrhardt book indicates it came in a 15-jewel movement, but obviously also a 17-jewel model, and also a variety of different dials. Interesting.

Not sure how I missed this thread... I love a good doctorin' watch.

Here are my medical watches, in various languages. My favorite is this very clinical-looking instrument, the 38mm Angelus Medical (Valjoux 22).

This pristine pink 18k 1940's Heuer with salmon dial is a close second. Also Valjoux 22, 36mm. Never seen another like it.

Another jumbo Valjoux 22 tool by Doxa. 38mm.

Crazy bitonal dial on this Greenwich Valjoux 22.

Yet another Valjoux 22 from Election, with fearsome dagger lugs ready for phlebotomy.

And the beloved UG Medico-Compax, ref 124116-3 (cal 285), en español.

Lastly this oddball dead-seconds "Esculape" from Moser (Chezard 116)... no pulsometer, and I'm not really sure what a dead-seconds movement adds to pulse-taking, but they billed it as a medical watch.
