So I just got this mechanical Omega Geneve cal 601 back from being serviced. First time of winding it since it coming back and it seemed to only want to wind 5 times before I felt resistance. It ran for a few hours and stopped again. This was the first time winding it so I don't know if I'm being paranoid but it seemed strange to me. I don't know much about mechanical winding watches. What is the correct way to wind them? For the record, it was serviced by Omega out of an Omega boutique.
Wind it until you can't wind it anymore - should be obvious when it's fully wound. If it only runs for a few hours after doing that, take it back and have them fix it. Cheers, Al
