·Totally agree, someone with only "several" Rolex watches is probably an axe murderer. If they have more than 10, they are probably safe.

I don't think you're getting my point. I'm talking about rolex watches purchased from an official retailer.
I've always said the most honest person is the one who just wants or needs a single watch according to his needs. In general, I am suspicious of people who own several rolex watches.
Yeah, I definitely didn't get that from your post, which is quoted again below. But TBH, I really don't see any problem with someone who has purchase multiple Rolex watches (or Omega, Seiko, JLC, Patek, etc.) from an official retailer. What is there to be suspicious about? Someone might want several watches for different uses, or just because they like variety. Many people might have a Sub, a Daytona, and a Day-Date.
The amount of money behind it's not comparable. In my opinion, rolex has too many desirable references.
I'm lost.
For how long?
Yeah I get the point but I think Tudor has filled the Rolex void.
I use both Tudor and Rolex as tool watches.
Based on the limited sample size of military or ex military guys I know, there seems to be the same spread of watches you get in civilian life. Sometimes they have trashed Casios, sometimes they have Omegas. I've never actually seen any unit watches in the wild but they do exist and no doubt get worn.
EDIT: Oh the nested comments don't come across, I was moreso agreeing with your response to pdxleaf than replying directly to you.
3 to 6 week wait time for a Rolex Submariner. Sign me up. 😂
"Rolex for resale value and perceived luxury. Omega for the technically better watch and buying experience."
This video sums it up nicely.
