Hello to all, I want to introduce myself in short words... I am Erich, some of you are familiar to me as you participate on Purists forum as I do. I have been lurking here as a sole reader for some time and I have decided to ask you if I was welcome. This forum is quite different to Purists and I think it is an alternative when we want to discuss ebay listings, prices and similar. I have also realized that here are some very knowledgeable members whom I do not know from my old "home forum". I collect all kind of vintage Omega stuff before 1970, but one of my main interests are chronometers, 30T2 Rg chronometers in particular. kind regards Erich
Definitely recognise the name, and have heard from time to time of an Erich that's collected most of the 30mm Chronometers worth owning We have a lot of guys with an impressive specific knowledge in various areas of Omega's history but I don't think many have gone as deep into the the 30T2 lines as you have mate. Welcome!
By the way, we handle two things a bit differently here, you can link anywhere you like, including Purists, WUS, eBay, Christies or wherever, and prices or auction results are fine to talk about as well
Welcome Erich! Thanks for your advice on that watch in Belgium. Great to have you here and looking forward to some photos
Erich - nice to see you here. Your deep expertise in vintage omegas particular the manual wind watches would certainly be a huge addition to the forum.
Yeah, and whatever you do, don't let a thread wander off the topic or get 'jacked by a swarm of yammering idiots. There's zero tolerance for that here. It's not permitted more than six times in any 12 hour period.
Hi Erich. Glad to see you decided to come out of the shadows and join in the discussions. Plenty of freedoms here - link to anything watch related, have some fun with other members busting their chops (frequently done with YouTube videos and movie quotes), and enjoy the hobby with us.
Erich, i contribute where i can here and lurk on purists. I think there's definitely a time and a place for both forums, but its great seeing good guys from all the other forums pop up on the one i consider to be home. Welcome.
That avatar watch looks like a NOS 35.5mm YG manual wind chronometre with the original leather strap!
When Erich starts posting some of his extensive collection, you guys are in for a treat! Welcome, gatorcpa
