Well well very nice examples of using different colors/textures/styles ! Thanks.
Seems very much in accordance with the wahawatches article mentioned above with always nice contrasts and matches found with dial/cases/lumes.
From now on & at least for the next strap purchases, I'll personally use a mix of different solutions :
re-reading the wahawatches article + @Dr.Sascha advices + doing my own little search of similar watch combo + browsing straps among my favorite strap makers (Torre, GLC, Molequin, Twostitch, Finnwatchstrap)
& In case of a terrible dilemma, I'll come here for great advices 😀

Luckily, straps are easy to change. I have purchased straps for specific watches that have ended up on totally different watches. Good straps always find a home.

Interesting thread - some great ideas here.
I definitely have a hankering for the correct buckles, then a thin leather strap for my vintage 'three handers'.

Above is a selection on black leather, shell cordovan, fake croc and cordura. In cases like the Eterna 140T and UG Polerouter, I ended up with vintage 15mm and 14mm buckles, for which I find it hard to source replacements other than vintage stock.
Shell cordovan/horween is a keen favourite for me as it is tough, thin and versatile.

The cordura nylon on the Certina DS is not period correct but suits the adventurous styling and chunkier case & lugs.

Simple = elegant, not boring. I would go perhaps a bit darker (chocolate or espresso), to bring out the contrast with the cream dial. You don't need contrast stitching, but some texture is nice.
Thanks as I found this pairing so much better !
And thinking I've had this one at hand for at least one year 🤦... just reshuffled a few strap/watch combos and that was it.

Thanks again : I'll wear this one proudly for the traditional easter lunch 😉
