“Masters Green” Speedmaster

I tried it on today. Safe to say… I wasn’t feeling it. The “tee inspired” subdials just aren’t for me, and the green was somewhat darker than I anticipated (although that could be the classic boutique lighting)… thoughts?

Had not even heard about it until I saw this. Subdials are pretty ugly, IMO. If I had money to throw away (I mean, spend) on a gold Speedmaster with a green dial, I’d go with the older one. And that one I could buy used for probably half what this one is listed at.

100% agree. I just wouldn’t look at either. There are much better watches out there to spend that amount of money on. I was only going in to see one of the staff members as I was in the vicinity. I was surprised the boutique had one to try on, as it’s a smaller boutique compared to most.

I tried it on Tuesday and I liked it. I have the Sedna with black dial so the full green dial may look a little similar. I’m thinking about this one. Green always works well with yellow gold imo.

this was a quiet launch.....wonder why?....can you imagine if instead of green, they used a glossy lacquer black dial with the gold subdials....that would've looked killer....

Not sure why it was a quiet launch. The pattern on the subdials is supposedly inspired by golf tees. Along with the colour of the dial, it’s been coined the “Masters Green”.

Your idea is great, but not sure Omega would look to do it. Then again, there are many Speedmaster iterations… 😅

Personal opinion but I think the standard gold and green is the nicest of the precious metal speedy's.

You're absolutely right! I'm glad you questioned it. That shows my distinct lack of golf knowledge... you hit the ball with a bat, right? 😉

Ah, I was close, though I do think the different pattern is only noticeable from up close.
