I am about to get my first and only omega which I have narrowed down to 2 options:

1) Speedy Tuesday 1
2) 60th anniversary Speedmaster

Just wondering what is the market price for these 2 watches and which one would be the better buy, keep its value better. Keep in mind, I am a person whom would be wearing the watch often. I can get the Speedmaster for $8,000 cdn. The speedy tuesday I can get for about $11,500 cdn. I would appreciate some feedback as I am a newbie when it comes to omega watches.

Check C24 for relative prices.

Long term? My 8-ball is in the shop.

Looking at getting the speedy Tuesday 1. Yes it would be a long term purchase.

I have ST2 so can't add anything in that regard. I have the Speedmaster 60th, a joy to wear, it's visually friendly, and good throwback looks, nice retro look bracelet with modern construction and features.

The 60th < ST1 in price at the present time.

Yeah there is a good difference in price between the 2. The 60th has an additional strap which is nice as well. The reverse panda on the Speedmaster is a nice along with the lumination.

I don’t think anyone can give you more than speculation for “maintaining its value.” My advice would be to buy the one you prefer and wear it.

These watches may both be “speedmasters” but they are not similar in appearance. Different dial, bezels, case, etc. Try them both on and go from there 👍 both would make fantastic daily wearers
