I am in talks with a seller which I’ve had dealings with before, and it was a very good experience. He has a Monaco on offer, a piece I’ve been coveting since I purchased a modern one 10 years ago.

He has, what I believe a nice example at a reasonable price. The one issue aside from small marks to the case (expected for a 50 yr old watch), is a mark in the hour subdial.

I was hoping to get some feedback from forum members on whether this would be a deal breaker, something that can be removed (w/o damaging the dial) or not a big deal. Below are a few photos. Any other feedback would also be most welcome!

Completely not an issue for me because that watch is just Wabi Sabi heaven if you are into the Monaco...

 

Not worth risking the dial to try to fix it. If you're happy with the price, I'd just go for it

He confirmed it’s a scratch and not a surface mark. He’s asking 9K for it. I think the rest of the watch is great, honest and I love the Monaco. IMO looking at the market the price is very reasonable. It also comes with the original bracelet .

Looks like a nice clean honest watch, that scratch would not put me off. The bracelet is probably worth $1000 on it's own.
