Mark IV has landed

After landing a Mark 4.5 a few weeks ago I just landed a Mark IV.

For some reason I am quite fascinated by the tonneau cases. The size is super comfortable to wear and I can't commit to the multi thousand $ for a same year moon speedy.

Love the sunburst brushed pattern case and the nicely faceted polished sides. Very nice patina on the dial and hands.

Call me crazy but I had to have this one
Box + papers

Enjoy

Why not 馃榾

The Mark IV is a better example than the Mark 4.5 dial wise but both similar and different in their own ways.
Just so comfortable to wear and not crazy price wise.

For some reason, I thought this thread would be about old IWC watches. Silly me!

Quite like your MKIV. 馃憤
If I could find one with the "touch of blue" then it might make it's way into my collection.

Hadn't looked at the modern MKII in ages.
Yours looks gorgeous.
Very tempted to do a complete refurb (to racing dial) on an old MKII, if I can find one beyond saving as original.

the blue H2 dial is really nice. I saw one for sale over on chrono24 but the seller was asking 3.5 K so I passed running for the hills. I tried to negotiate a bit but was thoroughly unsuccessful. I had no idea at the time it was an actual replacement dial from Omega.

the new MkII is very comfortable to wear but my only gripe is the neon orange. less neony would have been good but cool none the less.

The MKII black dial (original) is the one I am looking at now to complete the quadfecta.
All the other Marks are really chunky. I may aim one day for the flightmaster, very retro cool im my book.

Call me old school, but I like the retro funky look of this one.

I blame it on the autoconnect.

I didn't know that.
Is there any 'story' behind Omega adding the blue?
