I would imagine that with the many high value pieces on the forum few would tinker with them but do many "play" with the less expensive items?
Personally I have been slowly getting more involved and moving from cleaning/servicing and today finished my first strip down of a Landeron 48 Chrono, nothing seriously wrong with it apart from a pusher that required a bit of work. So stripped, cleaned, rebuilt (no parts left over) lubed and running sweet.
As they say it's an ugly wee b****r but it deserves at least half an hour wrist time.

Lost a little sharpness, but couldn't let this one go to waste with the condition of the medallion.

The work of a saviour - nice job. Find it hard to believe the damage done to some casebacks :whipped:
