You’d have to total the time it takes to fabricate each of the individual parts, adding to that the time taken to assemble those parts into a running watch, then add to that the time taken doing the final adjusting and testing involved, before the watch can be said to be finished. Where you’d find an answer to your question, I have no idea. I once read that one of the U S watch companies had a machine that could turn steel wire into 28,000 tiny screws in an 8 hour shift. Likewise, throughout the factory, these parts all being mass produced. I doubt Omega could even give you a precise answer.

What do you mean by "build"?

I'm quite sure they could. In mass manufacturing, time is money, and these things are typically tracked with great vigor. Machine cycle times are tracked and checked against standards on a regular basis, and if there's deviation from the expected time it would be looked into. Back in my industrial engineering days, I did this on a regular basis.

(Number employees x hours worked)/(number of watches produced) 😁

Add the N x H / W for the Speedmaster part of the production by the movement manufacturer, case mfr, hand mfr, dial mfr, etc

-- and ditto all their suppliers.....

If they had a watch they could time themselves. I’ll give them a call and suggest it to them.
