There's a watch thread running on the Leica camera forum and someone has posted that there is a manual wind version of the current Globemaster, available by special order.

I can't find a reference to this anywhere. Does anyone on here know of this version?

Could be because it doesn't exist.

They're all automatic, and equipped with calibre 8900 co-axial master chronometers, with the exception being the platinum limited edition that contains an automatic calibre 8913 co-axial master chronometer.

My Guess is they are thinking about the 8903 powered one with no date. It’s rarer then hens teeth. Although a member here has one, and it’s special order.

    It’s still an auto.
