..... in a big way - as in 25 lbs of striped delicacy!

It was a very good day to fish - wind, tide, and clouds all cooperated to give the ideal conditions.

Not bad for a jetty jockey, eh?

Hey, if you ever make it down here while they're running you can join the fun. We were chucking whole fresh surf clams on single circle hook rigs with 3 or 4 ounce sputnik weights.

You know, I'd have still preferred the Chopard

Yeah, but watch season is 365 days a year. Stripers only run for 3-ish weeks in the spring and 5-ish weeks in the fall, with less odds of getting them from the beach.

Lightning strikes again on Monday - this time for my buddy:

DSCN0078-1.jpg

40" and a pound or so heavier than mine last week. We watched guys just north of us land 4 small fish, one a short and 3 that were 28" to 31". This fish has as much meat as their 2 larger ones.
