The researchers interviewed 252 U.S. breastaurant servers ages 18-66.

66 and working at Hooters or the like........ ( must be the Florida franchise )

Here in Canada we have a variety of restaurants that get around labour laws by hiring "food models" - I.e. Particularly attractive ladies (and a few men) to serve food and tend bar that are hired as "models" so as not to run afoul of discrimination laws.

There's about 5 different chains that do this ('Earl's' being best known) - definitely more upscale than Hooters and the like, not sure if there's an American equivalent. Having lived in London for a time, there's definitely no UK equivalent.... maybe just a Canadian thing?

They've tried it repeatedly in Australia but it's a pretty hard sell in general, if a bloke on the Gold Coast wants to see cute girls in skimpy clothes you can just go to the beach or any bar / club up or down the coast. The Hooters girls are fairly overdressed by comparison these days.
