This would be the decent thing to do.

I received a prompt and positive email response from my Omega Boutique....

Good afternoon Mr. V*****,
I am very sorry about this discovery. The service center is quite upset that no one would have called that out to them while they were working on it. I’m not sure but I believe that their quality control much like us here at the boutique, receives the time piece once the bracelet has been reinstalled so it could unfortunately be easy to miss and something to consider changing going forward. If you can bare to part with it again, could you bring in your watch and bracelet at your convenience? They’d like to have it back to look it over and repair it for you.
Warmest regards,
C***** S******

Which service center was the perpetrator?
I'm fairly certain it was returned to Omega in Switzerland...?
My team at my local OB was super cool about it, no questions asked. It's been a few weeks and I'm just waiting patiently. It definitely sounded like the midcase was going to be replaced which bums me out a little because the only thing I don't care for on the Railmaster is the high polish. Maybe I can request a light air abrasion to get a slightly satinized finish? Should I ask?
Wow, this is painful to watch. I've always been very frightened by the possibility of one of my springbars breaking, letting the watch fly to the ground with such disastrous result.
Happy Halloween!
Well aftera about 10 weeks, my Trilogy Railmaster finally returned from Omega service today after sending it back due to damage from service earlier this year (see my previous posts).
Not only was the mid-case replaced, but it looks
like the bezel and caseback as well....it's like brand new complete with caseback sticker.
I was told by my OB that the reason it took so long was that they had to get the case numbers synched with the movement numbers so that everything is all legit in their records etc...
