    Speaking of which: I always wondered why Rolex had the Fresnel lens on the outside...

    Wouldn't the inside be a way better place (dust in nooks and crannies,etc)

    That's not a Fresnel lens, Fresnel lenses are flat and with multiple “ridges”.

    I'm impressed that Rolex agreed to replace with non-cyclops lens. I will request a similar change for my Explorer II when it goes in for it's service in a few years. I'm ok with the cyclops but if given the choice I'd go without...
