Today I took a walk around lunch and ended up on a street I don't normally pass. I looked in the window of a shop I was passing and saw an old Omega Cosmic. I immediately did a double take and walked in. Cool little old shop. Lots of speedies and vintage rolexes. They had a small section of vintages omega dress watches I took a look at. This watch in particular caught my eye. Sorry the photos are terrible - they weren't all too keen with me taking photos. We also dont speak the same language which complicated things further. Any ideas on this one? Anyone know the ref number? It was pretty big. I'd say 35 or 36mm. Appears to be rose gold. Back was also gold so doesn't look plated but I'm not sure. I haven't seen this dial on the internet before so if anyone could point me in area of info on it that would be helpful.
So you found that watch in da Bronx, eh palie? I think you may be looking at one of these: http://naligazone.com/index.php/data-watch/omega/13-watch/omega/227 Or this: https://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-details/14422/ Dial looks nice, but you have to watch out for the cases. A lot of the gold watches were recased in South America and are not as heavy as the Swiss Omega cases. gatorcpa
Thanks @gatorcpa for those links. Yes, I'm not sure about the case. Much more of a red gold color than I had seen on other Omegas of the period. Guess I'll have to ask to see the movement and case back for more info. I was just relocated to Hong Kong for work, hence my inability to communicate with the owners lol.
