@kov did it look like a temporary installation or do you think the lander will be a permanent feature? Would love to see it but not sure when I will travel to Bienne....

Ok, Alexis - now please spill the beans. Why were you at the Omega Headquarters, in Biel, Switzerland, Planet Earth?

Meeting friends,
Shaking hands.
Hearing stories,
Sharing worries.
Getting news,
Different views.
Have a seat,
All-you-can-eat.
Friends, watches, wine,
Quality time.

I believe these LM mockups were made by a Dutch company in Nederlands Limburg

Mockups are made for both training & display purposes... one a bit stronger built than the other 馃槈
I have suggested to the Omega museum team to find a real hardware item, e.g. a Russian Orlan spacesuit, used since December 1977 with updated versions still used aboard the ISS today... Some of these are in private collections, so it wouldn't be hard for Omega to find & display an Orlan spacesuit... with a modern Speedmaster on the glove!
Info on Orlan types:
The Soviet-Russian Krechet "Gyrfalcon" moon walk suit was later adopted to work onboard the long-duration Soviet space stations and was renamed the Orlan "Sea Eagle" spacesuit. This adoption was made in six phases during which the first Orlan lunar excursion suit developed from Orlan-D, Orlan-DM, Orlan-DMA, Orlan-M, Orlan-MK and finally Orlan-MKS introduced in 2017...

Is it made out of Legos?
Nope 馃榿
These real size Lunar Lander mockups were made by HAL 3 Projects, a company in Beek - the Netherlands.
One went to Bienne/Biel - Switzerland, the second to Shanghai - China ...

@CPRwatch
I honestly believe there're no official Omega staff members registered on the forum, but they're certainly reading the forum as at least a dozen of very passionate, driven & motivated watch nerds/geeks are doing a superb job by sharing their research and even setting up websites on specific Omega watch models...
