Evening all. Has anyone had any relume work done by STS/SwissTec?

I've had work done by james hyman a couple of times and it's been excellent. However, I have a watch that needs a full clean and service and I'm just wondering whether to ask STS to do the relume as well, while it's there.

Last year they did the hands on this. Before service they were nearly black. My only experience with any Lume work at STS.

I recently bought this speedy II .... do you think it was relumed? I haven't found out but STS gave it the works in January this year with a service and refinish. I suspect the dial was relumed when it was with them.

Have you got the service paperwork? Reluming would be specifically mentioned on the job sheet.

They won't be written up on type writers. I wonder if they have records if you contact them with the serial?

It will have the job number on it. Maybe give them a call and ask nicely if they can confirm what was done? The STS paperwork is A4 with a full run down of work, some businesses rip off the top section and retain so to not disclose what was done or what they paid.

Thanks both but I know. I have used STS on a number of occasions, I just wasn't sure of the etiquette when it comes to asking what someone else paid to have done. Perhaps I'll wait until the next time I'm there and wear the watch.

I don't think that's rude. You don't need to delve into the specifics of pricing etc, but if you're curious I think it's fair to ask.

Do you have any other pictures of the plots? They look pretty good on that picture.

    Ask and ye shall receive.
(Excuse the thumbprint ... my nasty habit when I wind a watch. It's also a dust magnet).

    I don't think that's been relumed.

I assume it glows under uv?
