Does "charging up" the lume on the dial with a flashlight tend to weaken it over time? Just wondering ...

I keep a black light on my nightstand and give my SMP a one-second shot to get the lume glowing brightly just before bed, so I can check the time if I wake up during the night. Just curious if this would be a bad idea over the long term.

 

Won’t hurt your lume. Although this scenario makes me think of...

 

a flash of light on the lume lights up the markings. the absorbed light
in the lume disappears in 2 seconds. extended exposure of light on the
lume is not advisable.
