I did show them the original article and made it quite clear how it was not good practice to put up the price like that. They wouldn't negotiate on price but did give me a few freebies, like a replacement strap as an apology.

I have in an email that the price is £4650. For it to go up so much is outrageous. Which OB did you go too?

I went to Royal Exchange. They just said that £4650 was 'never confirmed' as the price. If you have an email or article it is worth showing them when you pick it up and you may be able to get a few freebies out of it.

I got a replacement strap, which is exclusive to this watch (blue alligator with blue stitching), a ballpoint pen that is not for sale (goes on ebay for about £60) and a free first service. They did offer me a leather travel purse originally but I didn't really like it so they offered me the other stuff instead.

That strap sounds nice! Have you got a picture?

Lucky you. I shall try to get this and more when I get it, but is still does not cover the difference.

It's the same strap that comes with the watch, so you can see it in all the photos. It just means that when the original one wears out, I can swap it over and it will look brand new again. They only had one spare pair in the shop though, so any extras would have to be ordered in I believe.

Yes, I noticed they were advertising the New York version, least they have started with the London!
Yes, better to start with a city other than the most famous in the world. Keen marketing, that.

In my opinion the nicest of the city editions. The blue dial is gorgeous. I don't even mind the caseback. 👍

I agree, the caseback is very unique.

Venice is not listed with the City collection on the website. I think that is an open ended tribute to the Seamaster and the Hippocampus which is only available in Venice.... shame as it is a cracking watch IMHO....
The London edt is certainly the one that catches the eye first. Beautiful!!

These are still available. The boutique at the royal exchange offered to order me one yesterday. I had a look at a reserved watch (they said I could try on but I declined as it’s someones order), and it was very nice indeed and very flashy.

This kind of watches is not "my style" watch; but if it was, I'd be in a trouble, they're all beautiful! Maybe except the white dial and blue markers.

Did you order one in the end?

No. It’s lovely but £5,600 for something I’d wear very little is a bit much.

I’m curious to know if all 399 were made, which would mean they’re ready available, and if they’ve managed to sell them all
