After having my TDMP stored in a box for about a year, a strap change made me fall in love with it again. I wore the piece almost everyday around the house and on short trips. Sadly, on one of my trips I lost the crystal and bezel somewhere in a forest. It's 18k gold... I searched for hours, days, even rented a metal detector, but to no avail. Searching ebay etc for a replacement has yielded nothing so far. Perhaps someone on this forum knows someone who knows someone who has an extra 18k yellow gold 11305 bezel that they want to sell.
That’s gonna be really tough. I would say find the worst example you can, steal the bezel, part the rest out.
Is there anyone who custom manufactures parts like this? Might be cheaper/faster than trying to source an original
Not sure where you are located but It might be best to contact a well regarded watch repairman/restorer as they probably know exactly who could fabricate a new bezel for you. Trying to find a replacement or a miscellaneous bezel that would fit is a losing proposition time wise and perhaps $$ as well. I don't think fabricating a smooth gold bezel would be a very difficult task for a skilled goldsmith esp if you send him the case and moment.
Additionally if you collect UGs and have another with a bezel that fits the task gets even easier as I wouold think that duplicating a bezel would be much easier than creating one from scratch.
Thanks for the help everyone! I've reached out to a local watchmaker, he said he can make a new one. I have yet to go to his shop.
Dean, I need one too for my TDMP ! Steel, white gold, or yellow gold if that is the only option. If you can help me on this I would really appreciate it ! Thanks
