- Vintage vibes in a modern wrapper. Damn, I like this watch!
- Purchased new from Lorier in January 2025,
- Full kit, box, outer box, 2 x links (sized for a 7.75" wrist), screw driver, cloth, pouch.
- Offered for sale because I've got two modern GMT watches, only 1 comes on vacation and the new one (Ch Ward C63) is slightly larger and has supplanted this Lorier.
- The Lorier has been across multiple time zones and an ocean.
- Condition is good but worn with:
- Crystal scratches between 12 and 1 and at 6, as shown. These have been Polywatched and are generally not noticeable in day to day use.
- Some light case/bracelet wear marks, as shown.
- True "flyer" Miyota 9075 automatic GMT movement with independent 12-hour hand (which is a freakin cool way to quick set a date)
- Running about 16 s/d fast; could be regulated (see timegrapher photo)
- Because Miyota, makes Miyota rotor noise
- The SII (Series II) is the last of the truly vintage vibes Loriers, with an acrylic crystal and bakelite style bezel (the new SIII has gone to sapphire and ceramic)
- 39.5mm case with Lorier's super comfortable solid link, screwed togetherEpsilon bracelet
- Tool-less micro adjustment clasp (bought by me from Lorier when it was released later last year).
- 24 click bi-directional two colour bezel; roulette (2 colour) date wheel.
- Brilliant TWO COLOUR lume (GMT hand and bezel in Green; time in Blue).
- Get in touch if you'd like videos/video chat or have any questions.
- Because I like you, the future happy owner, I took the bracelet apart for an ultrasonic clean and the case got worked over with cleaning q-tips.
Lorier Notes
- The current release (Hyperion SIII) is sold out at CAD$1,250 and has (in my view) lost some of vintage charm with the updates to the hands, bezel, and crystal; it looks a bit more sterile.
- Lorier is a NYC based microband owned by Lorzeno and Lauren Ortega (who actually answer the emails!), together with Worn&Wound (recently announced). They make great retro-inspired watches that are durable and at good (if not great) value for the money. This one has a Miyota 9075 automatic GMT movement (independent 12-hour hand), and sweet vintage goodness. Fun fact - the customs paper work (from US to CAN) states the Country of Origin as Japan. Don't know if that's based simply on the value of the movement or if the watch was cased/finished in Japan.
