I am looking to purchase this specific Omega Seamaster, I think it's from the 50's I have a picture but that's all I have. the owner wants $1000 can anyone give me some kind of knowledge on this before I purchase please.

There are better folks here than I am for evaluations, but looks like a redial to me.

Black is always problematic for so many are redo's.

Refinished dial and overly polished case, not good things. Asking price is ridiculous.

I agree with both above. And your example isn't from the 50s. If I were you I'd look at the private listings here 👍 far better examples at way more realistic prices.

Its 50* series(500,501 etc) ..it can fetch max 400-450 bucks.As the other members said above redial for sure and over polished case..you can get similar watch original mint condition dial with omega matching bracelet on that price $1k 😀
