Hi!
I’m looking to buy 2 silver 540 end links for my vintage Omega seamaster 166.032
Been looking everywhere online and can’t find any.

In short, want-to-buy thread must be posted in the correct forum, and only after you have 200 substantial posts as a member.

Thank you. Sorry, I’m just having a hard time finding these for my Omega. I’ll try to get some posts up.

It will be much easier and perhaps not much more expensive to simply buy a 1098 with 540’s. They don’t come up for sale that often.

Yeah I’ve been looking for all avenues of getting these 540s. But I do have a 1118 bracelet coming with 526 end links. Maybe they’ll fit the watch. Here’s hoping

They don’t come up for sale often and are generally valuable because they fit a few popular models.

1118 is an 18mm bracelet. You technically need a 1098, which is a 19mm bracelet.

The 526 endlinks “fit” but fit poorly and go over and scratch the caseback.

yeah I know the 1098 are what came with the watch originally but if 540 end links fit the 1118 then I’d imagine it will work. Glad to hear the 526 “fits” if I can make that work then I’ll make it work.
Thank you

Pretty sure you can still buy service 540 end links direct from Omega. I would contact your local OB or AD that’s also an authorized servicer to see if they are available to order.

FWIW I have a 166.028, same case design size, and the 1098/540 bracelet/end link combo just suits this watch case design so much better. Having owned a 1118 as well and IMHO the 1118 looks a bit small when paired with the 19mm end links.

I’m just a bigger fan of the jubilee style of the 1118. can I see a photo of your watch with the 1098?

I called my local Omega dealer earlier and they don’t provide it

I was looking for a single 540 a while ago and although my AD was able to sel me 640’s on another occasion, I was told they can’t get 540’s.

Agree. I’d just sell the 1118 and look for a 1098/540

Can’t for 1098/540 for sale anywhere. :(
It's not like a new off-the-shelf item, you need to be patient. Give it a few months at least.

They come up fairly frequently. I’ve needed a couple over the years and never had to wait long.

My apologies, I was mistaken, it was the 640 end link I was thinking of that’s still available.

The 1118 is just the slightly scaled down version of the 1098. Here mine on my 166.028.

But if you want an actual Jubilee 5 link style bracelet, Omega made them. I started a thread on them:

The 540 end links are still available from Omega, so not sure why they told you that - maybe they just didn't want to bother with the small order.

Rather than go through a dealer or OB, call the service center directly and ask for the parts department - you should be able to order them directly from them.

I think this is one of those occasions where you have to check in with watchmakers, ADs, service centers etc. until you get somewhere.
