So I am looking to buy my first vintage Omega watch and found one on a Dutch website of a guy buying and selling vintage watches:

You can view it online here: http://www.horlogeman.com/index.php...e.tpl&category_id=3&product_id=2372&Itemid=54

I will translate the specs from Dutch:
    • face is silver, good as new
    • original omega crown
    • gold plated Omaga clockwork cal. 1030
    • Numbered 38 which dates back to 1974
    • A wind will have it run for at least 36 hours
    • Steel and branded bottom
    • Glass is neat
    • For an aditional € 25 a steal Omega buckle is added
    • Warranty is 3 months
The asking price is € 290

I am not looking to do a solid investment, however I would like it if I buy an original watch for a fair price.
I see that a couple of cogs have a different color, does that mean that these are not original?

    Any other thoughts?

    Thanks guys!

Looks original to me. The wheels you are referring to were not plated as the rest of the movement, so the color is correct.

BTW, the movement is copper plated rather than gold.
