Looking to buy this 1963 Tudor Rose gold but?

I am reviewing these photos and thinking to buy. I have a couple of concerns:
The crown doesn't look right but the vendor saus it is original.
The caseback is stamped on the outside?
The caseback is a snap-in which I wonder about for a 1963.
The tudor banner stamped on the caseback looks wrong/incomplete.
It is claimed to be all original.
Any thoughts please?
Thanks,
JP

The movement looks to me to be Eta 1080, highly modified to disguise its origins. There might be maker and calibre marked under the rim of the balance wheel. Looks to be in good shape. It is not a Tudor Oyster, so the crown isn’t an Oyster crown, but as to originality of the crown? No clue. You’re asking all original. Speaking personally, I have never seen that model of Tudor, so I wouldn’t be prepared to offer an opinion on originality. Rolex products of the era of this one often have the model # stamped on the outside case back. I don’t see much wrong with the Tudor stamp inside the case back. A snap back? As I said, l’ve never seen a Tudor like it, so the snap back could be authentic. I know you are looking for hard edged information about the watch, rather than vague opinions. Maybe someone will come along that can do that for you.

For it's age, it looks just a bit too good. I reckon it's had some parts replaced over time, and looks like a bit more of a franken.

Do a lot more research before you buy a watch.

Task for now. Please show me another example of this watch.

thanks, I have been trying to find another one like it for a long time but I cannot. I have found many similar but not with that crown.
The case looks like it has been replaced, I may just forget about it, too many unknowns.

Pick a model you want and spend your time on that.
You have a touch of scatter gun approach which is common when you first get interested in watches

For the OP, you’re unlikely to find sub-$1000 Tudors and Rolex watches that are legit. Although this is a “full size 34mm” you may find some of these vintage watches wear smaller than you’re used to and you’ll end up wanting another watch. If your budget is lower at this point I’d scope out a lot of the less popular but cool watches. Things from Tissot, Marvin, LeJour, the list goes on and on..

Interesting description from the dealer..

“This circa 1963 vintage Tudor dress watch is a very uncommon find, measuring a full sized 34mm. in gleaming rose gold toned gold filled case with steel back and original reflective numeral, arrow marker dial and original Dauphine hands with sweep seconds. The original dimple crown is still present. This watch features a wide and shimmering bezel, extended lugs-all VERY clean. The original dial has some “ghosting” marks where the hands stayed in position for a many years while the watch laid still in a drawer. In person, this dial really does look good and the ghosting is really not as visible as in my close-up photos. The manual winding TUDOR movement was just cleaned and is accurate. Priced very well at only $795.”
