Looking into purchasing a 1950s 420

Came across this 1952 420 recently, and while I’m intrigued, I’m curious what a more trained eye thinks about this piece. As far as I can tell the movement is solid (https://imgur.com/duSdNhK). Obviously the case back is not original, but I’m wondering about the dial/crown. Seller is asking $400. What do we think? Would love some more insight:

Welcome to the forum, I don’t know much about Omega specifically but I find this way overpriced and unappealing, the dial condition is totally lackluster, and the crown definitely looks like a replacement.
Finally, we are normal people here, with busy lives - and we appreciate when newcomers asking for our time and help take the trouble to say « hello », «please » and « thank you ».

Welcome.

As in all these types of posts, what are your goals in owning THIS particular watch?

If you wish a vintage watch to wear, it is overpriced x3

If you wish an original, nice looking Omega, look elsewhere.

My opinion of this watch? Not high

Crap. Good for a movement and not much else. Non original back makes it close to movement value only and 420 not that desirable

major pass
