Hello Omega lovers,

I’m looking for some help and adding a photo to ask if anyone can see a serial number or movement number on this movement, please? I can’t see one on this Omega Chronograph. Thanks in advance. 😊

I’m no expert but isn’t the reference inside the case back?
Reference is on the case back but serial number is on the movement (supposed to be). Thanks

I have one much like the subject watch in my shop right now. The movement in the subject watch appears to me to be not original to this case. I refer to my sample Omega two-register chronograph right now which has an Omega calibre 350 in it. Clearly marked with a serial number.

I think I’ve been duped by a seller 😢

I think of an Omega cal 350 as a bumper automatic. Is there another cal 350? I was wondering about the OP movement.

It's looking likely.

Should that not be a Lemania caliber? I think those are typically in the 320 range, although the Old style format seems to pop up more often.

I wondered about that. I won’t have it in my hands until about Wednesday. I found this one similar on EBay. I don’t see a serial number on it either. It says it’s from 1949.

I guess you meant cal 320 - right? 350 is not a chronographe

These crop up from time to time. What you have is a generic Chronographe Suisse with faked Omega markings. It’s worth a couple of hundred bucks at most. I can’t place that movement exactly but it’s not made by Omega. They (CS) used a variety of movements inc those by Venus, Valjoux and Landeron. Often the Landeron 48 but this ain't that. My guess is it is a Venus of some kind. Fun fact, Seagull in China still make derivatives of Venus movements, well copies!

Search Chronographe Suisse for more info. That exact spelling, these have nothing to do with the modern ChronoSwiss brand.

ps the other you show from eBay is legit, based on the 320 movement and does I think have a serial at the left obscured with filth.

Also, as a rule, I didn't think Omega has ever written ANTIMAGNETIC on a dial? Please correct if I'm wrong, as there are nearly always exceptions to the rule. 😁

Agreed. No Swiss or Swiss Made text at the bottom too. And Omega never put 17 Rubis either, but Chronographe Suisse often used to…

My apologies! The one I referred to is a calibre 320. Pictures included. Totally different appearance to the “Omega” in the opening post. Note the serial number.

Thank you everyone. I’ve contacted the seller but I’m not getting a reply, whilst the watch is in transit. I have a lot to learn. I hope he comes clean. It was not cheap 🥺

What platform did you buy it from, and what payment option did you use. If it was EB should be no problem getting refund if it was misrepresented. If you used credit card or PayPal you may be able to make claim with them.
Plenty here have stories to tell🤕, and may have helpful advice. Good luck!

Thank you, it was Facebook Marketplace. I did an e-transfer for payment. Usually I just purchase from EBay and never suspected this to happen in my own home province.
