Hi everyone. I have recently developed an interest in older omega watches. Currently I am looking to find my first older Omega Seamaster. During the process of trying to educate myself about these watches I stumbled across a picture of a vintage Seamaster 600 (described as a mid 60's model with the cal. 601 movement). I found myself drawn to the style of the dial on this particular watch. The problem, however, is that I cant seem to find any other Seamaster 600 that has a similar dial. Is this an authentic Seamaster 600 of this vintage? If so, could you enlighten me on the specifics. Thanks for your help!

I actually think the dial is original and in very good condition.

Take a look at the black version of the dial:

Uncommon, but original. This same style was also done in black as well and I have seen genuine examples of both.

Hi Ham. I think you've stumbled on to a winner.

If you don't buy it, post the link here so some other member can snatch it up.

S'alright. Remember the steadfast rule for vintage Omega of the 50's and 60's: there is no steadfast rule.

Thank you all for the quick response and information! I wish the image I linked was a watch for sale, sadly it was an image I borrowed from a Google image search to use as a reference for the dial design that I am interested in. Do these uncommon dials command a higher price than more traditional Seamasters of the era? Is ~$300 a resonable market price for a watch in similar condition to that show above (recent ebay auction)? What would be reasonable for a watch in near mint condition like that shown in the original post? Thanks again for all the input!

$300 for an average condition one and up to twice that for one in excellent shape like the one you pictured.

Got to love Monty Python. Can anyone point me in the direction of a recommended shop or individual to service a vintage omega once I obtain it? Ideally it would be something in the vicinity of the Greenville,SC Ashville,NC area, but I am open to all suggestions. Also, once I wrap up graduate school in a couple of months I am moving to Lincoln, NE for a job, might as well start looking for a service guy there also. Thanks again for all the help!
