Looking for more info on 80´s Seamaster quartz

Hi. I tried to search booth the internet and the forum to find something that looks like my Omega Seamaster quartz but I came up short.

I believe that its from the 80´s and has the Cal 1342 inside. The logo on the dail belongs to Bahrain defence force.

Can anyone help me with the reference number or any other information about this watch?

Pop the back off. the information you're looking for is inside the case back.

Is it easy to "pop" off ? and to get back on? 😀

If you know what you're doing. Sounds like you don't so I would have a watchmaker pop it off.

Im bumping this thread hoping someone has more info about this. Does anyone know the story behind this watch? Who were these watches made for? How many were produced? Have you seen any others like this for sale before?

The story is inside the caseback of your watch.
For us to speculate on "what the story is" we'd need to see what the caseback and movement say.

I've got one of these.
They seem quite rare. They don't come up too often.
There was another version that had day/date - but it has a push button at the 3 o'clock for quicksetting the day.

Mine came on a dodgy strap, and I luckily found a near NOS case + strap for sale but of course the case had the pusher for the day.

I love mine, it only cost me $100, and it was the first quartz watch I ever serviced. It has had 2 services in 4 years as the first time I used heavy 8000 oil.

The strap is very good as well on these.

I'm debating getting a new crown + seal for mine as mine is old and dried.

Oh and mine says 'Seamaster' on the dial where your logo is.

The watch was probably given to army officer's or similar decent rank. It was unlikely a pilot or field watch as it is quite a dressy watch. Hard to estimate how many were made.

They could have made 1 or 8000.
