Recently purchased this Mido & I was wondering if anyone has encountered this model. Is there any way to tell if this is a Borgel case? I’ve seen other Mido’s of the general era with this recessed crown design that did have Borgel cases…. Mov’t is a 917P.

Photos are from the original listing.
Thank you in advance!

Cool watch. Yes, this is a «Borgel case»
Thank you. Are there any tell-tale signs for this or have you just seen enough that you know this is Borgel?

It's a bit of a complicated topic, but the Decagonal case and "vacuum" signature are signs.

Technically, the cases were Taubert, which had acquired the Borgel designs decades earlier. Etc.

Ok, thanks very much. Seems I have much to learn in this arena.
