    Hi All,
Have an opportunity to buy a Speemaster with reference number: 3513.30.00, cal. 1152. There isn't that much information on this edition of the watch. Looking for your thoughts and comments. See attached pictures. The price seems attractive at $2,200. Thanks for your feedback.

There's plenty of info on these. This one is way overpriced. Ebay is full of them at $1100 to $1500. 5 bar pressure resistance and not COSC. Clasp is friction hold. The final version of that watch was 3211.30.00 and was COSC plus 10 bar pressure resist and button release clasp. Cal. 1164. $2200 would be more in line with that model, though still on the high side.

Agreed. I have two of the similar model in black and $1,500 each.

Thanks chickenma26 and jud for the feedback, much appreciated. I'll check out eBay to see what's on there; I don't necessarily trust what's on there so I don't usually consider it as source for info.

I think the 3513.xx and 3523.xx (triple-date) was the best iteration of this type of "dressier" Speedy. 3513.30 is button clasp.

(you may have confused it with 3511.xx with friction clasp)

3211.30 is 40mm, more butch, and bracelet and 2-button clasp like a modern Speedy Pro. It is indeed COSC. For some reason I do not understand, it's the least popular of the line (could be because few people are familiar with the model?)

Speedy Date was my first automatic watch and still in my collection. Dependable movement and wears nicely.
