Looking for back and crown for a 1952 Omeaga seamaster

Hello, I have a 1952 Omega seamaster automatic with calendar at 6 O’clock. It has the square date window, the gold capping and hands and markers. The crown was replaced at some time in its history and the back has an engraving on it. I do not want to sand it out but would like to get a crown with the omega stamp and a back, does anyone have such a creature. I love this watch , it has the bumper 353 movement , ref#2627 Thanks for reading.

that way you can keep the original back if you decide to put it back on anytime
I believe the crown is original just worn it’s logo off exactly like mine,
I’m all for engravings it tells a story not all I own have them but If they do it doesn’t bother me unless it’s super cheesy haha

Leave the back. Regardless of what it says. It keeps the history of the owner alive. Sanding is the same as erasing them.

Unless you actually find a back and it’s not a BIN auction. There will be multiple bidders. Especially on gold filled cases due to wear.

As to the crown. Find reference number of case inside back and Google. Find the same crown design on multiple cases and that’s what you most likely need. Current crowns are gold plated. NOS crowns sold on EBay are gold plated. Finding an early original 50’s gold filled model will take time.

Leave the back
