He loves my SM 300m 2531.80, but wants it in black instead of blue. I can't find that Omega ever made it that way.

He's not into the sword hands like my 2254 nor a co-axial like the newer Omegas.

He does like the wavy dial, the skeletonized hands and size (41mm) of my 2531, but he just wants black dial and bezel. Must be an automatic not Quartz.

I've looked around a lot, but have not come across one. Can anyone tell me if such a reference exists?

    Not in non-co-axial, I believe.

This one used to be mine, but it's a co-axial...

A watch collecting buddy of his has convinced him that a co-axial watch is delicate and should be avoided because they have reliability issues. I wish I could convince him otherwise, since I have had zero problems with my two coaxial watches..

You can give him my experience: had more issues with the legendary cal 1120 than any of my 2043/2500/8500 pieces. I own mostly coax pieces, find them to be a lot better because of the escapement and free sprung balance. Wish the 2500 had a full bridge rather than a cock as well but if wishes were fishes and all that... [emoji23]

This is the one: model 212.30.41.20.01.003 ...

The Pro Diver 300M wasn't introduced in a black variant until about 2012, if I'm not mistaken. No wave dial, but a ceramic bezel, co-axial 2500D movement (very durable and accurate), and a really good choice for a daily wearer. 21230412001003.png

There were black wave dials made just after the 2220.80 model that were in the new pic system Omega currently uses. But these are way easier to find.

Yes, thank you. I suppose if I put one of these in his hand he will not have a problem with it!
