Hello guys. I am new to the forum and new to the vintage omega. Saw this piece and did my homework however i am a noob and the price seems steep.
For me:
Case: has seen better days, a bit too much polish
Dial: excellent condition, seemns factory original finish
Hands: the same seems to apply
Caseback: integrated case which matches with the year and the model.
Photos of the movement and inside the case in progress
Price: steep! About 950$

Then it’s bs.
I believe you are right Sir.

However the seller sent me a video of the watch on the time grapher with 0 to +1sec/day
And a shot of the momevent. Bad res but for me it looks ok.

Legit or skip?

I would also skip at that price. I just bought a stainless steel Seamaster De Ville in great condition on eBay for 300 euros (just to give you an idea of what can be found with patience - and it wasn't even an amazing price IMO).

That is insane! Besides, it doesn t even have the right movement...I find it difficult to fish on ebay...most of the watches have awful description, terrible photos and it just makes me skip..

That's why its an exercise in patience. You set your search terms carefully and wait for the right watch at the right price to pop up.

Seriously make use of the Private Sales here. The watches for sale on OF are priced realistically and come from people who aren't trying to screw you over. Take it from me. I joined a year ago and had no clue but I took my time and learned. And then I picked up a Seamaster from the private sales. Patience is VERY necessary or you'll be paying the dreaded 'noob tax'.

I will have to disagree. I find that often watches are fairly okay photographed and you can always ask sellers for more info. However, thus far I have only fished in the 300 euro range - I think the real scammers/rip-offs are in the higher range. Try using eBay in different countries, for example .co.uk, .ie, .fr an so fort.
