Looking for a vintage Omega dress watch

Happy New Year everyone!

Back in May I bought my first Omega watch and am very happy with it (see pictures below).

Now I'm looking for a simple dress watch with a black dial. I prefer the manual wind type but am open to other types. I want to keep my cost down to under $500. I watch the PRIVATE SALES area every day. Other than that, do you have any suggestions OR, does anyone here have something they are willing to sell.

Loving my first Omega and I know there will be more to follow!
Thanks, Major

Getting a black dialed Omega for less than $500 will be next to impossible. Getting any vintage black-dialed Omega is difficult at best because many of them are not original.

You may want to rethink your requirements....

Even a second hand Longines will cost more than $500

I don't know what I don't know so thanks for the advice. I would be open to other vintage brands too. Major

Your best bet is to get a black Eterna, I recently sold one here on the forum for 200 euro.

If you don't mind a repainted dial, you can probably do it.

Are the spots on the dial, or is it just reflections on the crystal?

It's amazing what some people think is appropriate.

That Birks Eternamatic has a dial very much like vintage Omega; I have one very similar but with a "white" dial.

I was genuinely curious, it was not meant as criticism, hold your horses!

While we are on the subject. I'd love it if some nice member would sell me the their 1972 911 2.7 RS for $10K, or if that isnt going to work I will settle for your 993 for $5K but I don't want any issues with Varioram so you had better have sorted that shit out.

😉

black is black but beautiful. just sharing my dressy bumper redialed omega.

Similar watch with original dial, but subseconds. Yes, @cineaste, there is some degradation to the dial. 😲
